TL;DR: The P1X is the most spacious and adjustable. The GT1 PRO is the best value. The Sabelt S99 looks the most premium. All three are excellent aluminium profile rigs that will last years.

The Big Three

If you're moving beyond a wheel stand or desk clamp, an aluminium profile cockpit is the way to go. These three rigs from Sim-Lab and Sabelt are among the most popular choices in Europe. Here's how they stack up.

Sim-Lab P1X Pro

The P1X Pro is Sim-Lab's flagship. It's big, solid, and endlessly adjustable. The 40x160mm main profiles give it exceptional rigidity — even the strongest direct drive wheelbases won't make it flex. There's room for everything: triple monitors, a shifter, handbrake, button box, and a full-size bucket seat.

Pros: Most adjustable, fits any setup, proven track record
Cons: Large footprint, takes up a lot of space, assembly takes a while

Sim-Lab GT1 PRO

The GT1 PRO is the value champion. It uses 40x80mm profiles — slightly narrower than the P1X but still very rigid. It handles direct drive bases up to ~20 Nm without issues. The more compact design makes it better for tighter spaces while still offering good adjustability.

Pros: Great price-to-performance, compact, still very rigid
Cons: Less room for accessories, may flex slightly with 25+ Nm bases

Sabelt S99 EVO I

The Sabelt S99 takes a different approach. While Sim-Lab rigs have an industrial, modular look, the S99 feels more refined. The design is cleaner, with integrated cable management and a sleek profile. Sabelt also makes their own seats, mounts, and accessories — so the ecosystem is tightly integrated.

Pros: Best looking, integrated ecosystem, clean cable routing
Cons: Less aftermarket flexibility, accessories are Sabelt-specific

Which One Should You Buy?

Choose the P1X if: You want maximum adjustability, plan to run triple monitors, and have the space. It's the rig you'll never outgrow.

Choose the GT1 PRO if: You want a great rig without breaking the bank or taking over your room. Best bang for the buck.

Choose the Sabelt S99 if: Aesthetics matter to you and you want a clean, integrated setup. The Sabelt ecosystem is excellent if you buy into it fully.

Space Requirements

Before you buy, measure your space:

  • P1X Pro: ~170cm long x 70cm wide (without monitor stand)
  • GT1 PRO: ~150cm long x 55cm wide
  • Sabelt S99: ~160cm long x 60cm wide

All three add roughly 40-50cm of width with a monitor stand and 30cm of height with a seat.
