Michi Hoyer

Michi Hoyer is professional simracer and esport driver competing in world championship events across the platforms Le Mans Ultimate & rFactor 2.

The German has always loved motorsport and dreamt of being a race driver when being a young kid. Driven by the passion for racing he started simracing in 2005. What started out as hobby became a professional simracing career that still continues to date. Today, Michi Hoyer has become one of the most respected and recognized esport simracer in the European simracing community.

In 2015 Michi Hoyer started to conquer the most competitive online race leagues on rFactor 2. During his most successful years between 2020 and 2023 he raced in multiple world championships & esport competitions such as the famous Le Mans Virtual Series, McLarens World’s Fastest Gamer & many more. Especially during competing in the Le Mans Virtual Series Michi Hoyer has shared the virtual cockpit with real-world stars and top-tier simracers, piloting the LMP2 class cars.

With simracing experience of more than 20 years, Michi Hoyer also offers coaching and driver training in multiple areas in simracing. This includes guided driving sessions, telemetry analysis & technical education of vehicle components.

Since 2017 Michi Hoyer is streaming all his races live, giving a unique viewing experience for the spectators as he captures the screen in high quality showcasing the live view he has while racing & showcasing the challenges of racing at top level in the world of simracing esport.

Today, he is driver for the professional Falken Simracing Team & Dörr Esports powered by SX Consulting.

Beyond being a simracer Michi Hoyer has management expertise from successfully managing multiple esport teams in the past decade. His experience is valuable not only to racing teams but also manufacturers of simracing hardware and developers of simracing software. In his function as a quality consultant, he helps companies improving their products to optimize them for the community & the needs of the simracing industry.
