FAQs

Q1. What accessories do I need for a sim racing seat?

At minimum, seat brackets to mount the shell to your cockpit and sliders or runners to adjust position. Harnesses, pad kits and lumbar support are optional additions for comfort and retention.

Q2. How do I mount a sim racing seat to a cockpit?

Seat brackets bolt through the base of the seat shell to the cockpit mounting points. The correct bracket depends on your seat model. Artisans of Speed and Sabelt brackets cover most common seat and rig combinations in this collection.

Q3. Which brackets fit a Sabelt sim racing seat?

The Sabelt Seat Brackets (€79) are designed for the Sabelt SRS, SRP and SRX seat series. For other seat shells, the Artisans of Speed Universal Seat Brackets (€69) or Tillett Seat Brackets (from €86) cover a wider range of mounting configurations.

Q4. How do sim racing seat sliders work?

Seat sliders mount between the seat base and the cockpit brackets. They allow the seat to move forward and back on a rail, letting you find the right distance to the pedals and wheel without repositioning the bracket bolts.

Q5. How can I make my sim racing seat more comfortable during long sessions?

Add a lumbar support cushion (Artisans of Speed Cold Fusion, €65) for lower back support. Seat pad kits (Sabelt, €179) improve the fit of a fixed bucket shell. A Tillett headrest panel (from €115) adds grip and padding behind the driver's head.
