Artisans of Speed C1 Cold Fusion Sim Racing Seat
Built to order — current lead time 8–10 weeks. Each Cold Fusion seat is made in Europe after you order. This is not a stock item.
Ninety minutes into a stint, focus doesn't go because of the car — it goes because your back is soaked and you're shifting in the seat. The Artisans of Speed C1 Cold Fusion puts four cooling fans inside the shell so air moves through the seat while you drive.
Active cooling you can dial in
Three fans sit behind the backrest and one under the seat base, pulling hot air away from your back and legs. They are floating-mounted — load the seat up under heavy braking and they retreat into the shell, so you feel padding, never hardware. A 3D mesh layer under the main cushion spreads the airflow instead of leaving one cold spot, and a rotary dial built into the seat changes fan speed mid-session without you leaving the rig.
A real racing shell, not a gaming chair
The C1 is a single-piece glass fibre reinforced polyester moulding. One rigid shell means no flex and no creak when a high-torque direct drive base loads the rig up. It is finished in black velvet with four harness slots for 4, 5 and 6-point belts, and removable leg supports so you can fine-tune your seating position.
Key features
- 4 built-in cooling fans — 3 in the backrest, 1 in the base. Stay dry through long stints and warm rooms.
- Floating fan mounts — the fans move back under load, so you never feel them through the padding.
- 3D airflow mesh under the cushion spreads air evenly instead of creating one cold spot.
- Rotary fan-speed dial built into the seat — adjust cooling without stopping.
- Monolithic GRP shell — rigid enough for high-torque direct drive setups.
- 4 harness slots for 4, 5 and 6-point harnesses.
- Black velvet upholstery with removable leg supports.
- Side-mount fixing points — bolts to standard seat brackets and sliders.

C1, C1-XL or C2?
- C1 — the standard touring car shape. The right fit for most drivers.
- C1-XL — the same seat, 30 mm wider at the hips and base. Choose this one if the C1 feels tight.
- C2 — the 'EVO' shell with wrap-around head and shoulder wings for a more enclosed, GT-style position.
Fitting it to your rig
The C1 uses side-mount fixing points and bolts to standard seat brackets. Add brackets — or brackets plus a slider for fore/aft adjustment — using the Mounting option above and they ship with the seat. Already running side mounts on a Sim-Lab, Trak Racer, Sabelt or other profile rig? The seat bolts straight to your existing brackets.
Before you order
- Built to order — current lead time is 8–10 weeks. Every Cold Fusion seat is made in Europe after you order, so this is not a next-day item. We confirm your build slot by email as soon as the order is placed.
- Sim use only. The Cold Fusion is not FIA homologated and must not be used in a road car or on track.
- Want your own design? The back and bottom cushions are fully customisable. Contact us for templates and pricing — custom builds take 4–8 weeks from final design approval.
Not sure which size fits you, or whether it will bolt to your rig? Send us your rig details and we'll confirm before you buy.
